Sometimes you have to look for quite awhile before you find a good home. My husband and I had lived in an apartment for over 10 years, the whole time that we were living there we had saved enough money to be able to purchase a home. The homes that we could afford were very small, but my husband and I did not mind that, because we wanted to make sure that we could get a home without having to pay a mortgage. We looked at five different homes, and in the end we were not able to buy any of them. About seven months later she found two more homes for us, we looked at both of those homes, and we finally decided on one. It took my husband and I over a year and I half to buy a home, but now we’re living in our dream house.

The Abigail House Plan

A homebuilder I do plans for approached me and wanted a new house plan designed. He wanted to make sure it was similar to the other two story house plans I have done for his competition. Since the lots he owned were only 40 feet wide it would be a challenge to get everything he wanted into the house with such a small footprint. What I designed exceeded all of his expectations. The home had 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a loft upstairs. Downstairs there was a study off the entry along with the spacious master suite and a guest bedroom. The kitchen was a good size as was the breakfast nook. The secondary bedroom upstairs each had a large closet and shared a Jack and Jill bath. The outside was nice with a stone covered front porch with cedar posts. The garage had an area that could be used for extra storage or a work area.
